For what is likely the tenth time in as many years I've got it into my head I can afford to purchase Japanese product from overseas. Specifically niche product like the fat gay men enthusiast magazines of Samson, G-Men, and others. Compared to when I started with the need for international money orders and no titles in european language there are some choice works by Gengoroh Tagame ( Who I always feel guilty for snubby for some time and does great work not just on paper but on the net for expanding knowledge, but making options available.)
The main issue is that doing so is expensive and complicated. Simplified GREATLY by Rainbow Shoppers and amazon.com.jp. But when it comes down to it the shipping and the moola is big deal.
Mainly signed up to message an old acquaintance on setting up a donation for Japanese Comics for Adults. Founded by the late Jeunes some three plus years ago and longer than that he was responsible for the scanlation of Emono (Trophy), The Construction Worker and had translations/notes and scans of MANY MANY Tagame comics. He seemed a classic importer, in a way. And I kinda miss him as I was just getting to know him when I found his google group and he set up his website.
